How do you guys clean your screens?

High, i wanted to clean my monitor screen but i don't know what's the best way to do it.

Bottle mix with half water and iso alcohol.

If you buy a monitor cleaner from the store it's basically iso alcohol and water. Just iso alcohol by itself can clean electronic devices like you can use it to clean your mobo. Save yourself some money and buy some isopropyl alcohol for like a dollar.

Isopropyl on a microfiber. It's readily available, it's inexpensive, it works VERY well, and it is what SHOULD be used.

Other stuff works I'm sure, but unless you're in a pinch why bother? Get the right tool for the right job.

Whatever you do, no Windex or tap water. Streaks for days. I cannot comment on running alcohol as I've never tried it. I just do my absolute best to keep anything that splashes/splatters away from my desk so basically nothing wet. And I will use a microfiber cloth to wipe away any dust or dirt that happens to fly onto it. There is an occasional splatter spot which is grossly and likely spit flying from my mouth, so I just gently scratch it away with my finger because the heat of the monitor dries it into a hard spot, and wipe it down firnly with the cloth and good as new.

I use tap water, the trick is to first wash the microfibre cloth with soap then dry/squeeze it to the point where it's only damp. When you wipe the monitor with it (in small circular motions) the water should dry in few seconds and leave no marks. Every time I don't use soap I get streaks for days as you put it. I also use another dry microfibre to remove any dust/dirt that comes off easily, before and after using the damp one.

Use a can of compressed air to spray away any debris that might scratch the display when you wipe it. Then, distilled water in a spray bottle and a microfiber cloth. I stay away from isopropyl on displays since some of them have coatings and such.

Vinegar, then water, then a dry microfiber cloth.

Alcohol would work too, but I am much more likely to have vinegar around.

The TV is another matter though, god I hate glass cleaner.

I give them a gentle wipe with a baby wipe and then a clean microfibre cloth. But I've heard of others using rubbing alcohol and similar things to remove actual stains.
